Issyk-Kul is a lake in eastern Kyrgyzstan. It is the tenth largest lake in the world by volume, and the second largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea. 182 kilometres long, up to 60 kilometres wide, it is second largest mountain lake in the world behind Lake Titicaca in South America. It is at an altitude of 1,607 metres, and reaches 668 metres in depth. Even in summer, you can see the mountains peaks covered with snow at the other side of the lake.
